Here are some of the benefits you can expect from this practice.

Breathing can change your blood PH (acid/alkaline) in minutes. No food, exercise or medication acts as quickly.

Reduced rate breathing can stimulate a rest and digest, parasympathetic nervous system state to help with sleep, stress, and anxiety.

Rapid, pulsed breathing stimulates a sympathetic nervous system response to increase energy, prepare for exercise, or boost the body’s natural defenses.

Diaphragmatic breathing massages the Vagus Nerve and reduces heart rate, lowers blood pressure, and reduces stress.

Severe respiratory conditions like asthma can be successfully managed by increasing CO2 levels in the blood.

Katy is a certified Breathwork Facilitator, NLP Practitioner, Hypnotherapist and trauma informed coach. She specializes in helping you transmute your pain into your greatest teacher so you can live alive and connected to your passions.

There are some real hidden gems on our schedule, one of which being Men's group only offered once a week on Tuesday nights with @bryceastill. ​​​​​​​​

This ancient practice helps you draw your consciousness inward, so you can move into a deep state of self awareness.

Yoga nidra helps shift your brain into the zone between sleeping and wakefulness. You can liken it to surfing different states of consciousness.

Brainwave studies show higher alpha and theta brainwave power in those who practice yoga nidra. 

This is a restorative practice that offers many benefits including: Reduced Stress, enhanced memory, sleep, as well as diminished anxiety and depression.

We offer this class in studio, Monday and Wednesday evenings at 8 PM.

Kundalini Fusion with @brittanelsonwellness Every Wednesday 6:30 – 7:30 pm.

Kundalini energy – the source of our personal awakening, true power, and highest, most authentic self – lies within each of us. Through things like our lifestyle choices, mindfulness practices like yoga and meditation, our thoughts and intentions, we awaken that power within us. Some have it awaken like a bolt of lightning, while others of us gradually awaken it through an on-going process of self-discovery.

10 years ago, I found Salt Lake Power Yoga, and for nearly a decade, practiced at least 5 days a week. 
Yoga transformed me, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. During Covid, I began a journey into online Kundalini classes, traditional classes and Kundalini Awakening classes through Gloria Latham. 
Quickly I felt the energy and power from Kundalini help me make shifts and choices that have transformed my life. 
I left a job and relationship that were no longer serving me, pursued yoga certifications in Kundalini Awakening, and Vinyasa yoga, and created my own wellness business.

To combine the power of both styles of yoga – the strength, flexibility, and grounding of Vinyasa, and the energizing, awakening, and cleansing of Kundalini – I’ve created Kundalini fusion. 
Classes include many of the poses that SLPY students are used to, with the repetitive movements, hand mudras, mantras, and more of a Kundalini class. 

You’ll get a great body workout, and leave sweaty, energized, stretched and strong!

Breathwork helps to release of all that built up stress inside you and connect you back into the wisdom of your body. Katy guides you with circular conscious breathing to produce a cathartic emotional release. The session is paired with tantalizing music and guided NLP techniques to help break you free of the disempowered programs that run our subconscious mind.
